This Veeco Training Course will familiarize students with a range of biological applications in AFM including sample preparation, instrument setup and operating parameters required for successful imaging in fluid environments. The course is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and enrollment will be limited to 9 students. Students will be divided into small groups and will work together to conduct experiments on the latest state-of-the-art Veeco Bio-AFM instruments. The one-week course will consist of three days of oral presentations and hands-on system training by Veeco Application Scientists. A full day pre-course ‘AFM Bootcamp’ is optional and will be available to those needing an introduction to the ‘Basics of AFM’ or wanting to brush up on their AFM skills. At the end of the course students will also have the opportunity to bring and image their own samples using the skills they have learned during their week of training.
